Environment Agency Has Illegal Chemical Contacts

Jan 16 – Several environmental groups yesterday sued the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for illegally taking policy direction from the pesticide industry. The suit, brought by non-profit public interest law firm Earthjustice on behalf of the groups, accuses the EPA of violating the Federal Advisory Committee Act, which prohibits government regulators from taking the advice of committees made up entirely of the industry being regulated.
